## Story
Over the past seven years, we’ve lived through the highs and lows of building a startup. We scaled a martech company to 160 people, but when COVID hit, we couldn’t fully bounce back. Our team dissolved. Only my CTO stayed, and together, with almost no resources, we kept searching for product-market fit.Despite it all, today we have a profitable data workflow product used by Fortune 500 companies. But it is too complex for mass adoption. We took that lesson and poured everything into DGi—our biggest bet yet.Rather than seeing the past as failure, we saw it as proof that every struggle, every pivot, and every lesson led us here, stronger than ever. The product:DGi is an AI data agent built entirely by AI, and it’s not locked into any rigid frontend or backend. At its core, it embodies visual empathy—No config files—just a sleek, intuitive way to connect your data. Not just chat—a real visual experience for interacting with AI.Dashboards that actually look good—and are easy to use.dashboardWe built DGi with Next.js and Shadcn, inspired by Guillermo Rauch’s (V0 founder) philosophy, because we believe data tools should be as elegant as they are powerful.redditHello WorldThe time to scale is now:We’re profitable and we’ve built something special. But competitors will emerge. The only way to own this space before they do is to put DGi in front of as many people as possible—5 million in two years. That takes capital.Pricing Model - Free forever or $20 per month Customers can sign up for free to test and try the product for up to 100 questions without deployments. Other than that, $20 per month. Simple!Competitors:DGi is a combination of v0, ChatGPT and Airflow. Although v0 creates beautiful Apps it is not optimized for data management. In the case of ChatGPT, although you can run code and schedule tasks, you will not have the option to create beautiful deployable apps. And in the case of Airflow, we are an orchestrator just like them, but you can't create Apps nor have an AI interface like in ChatGPTFundraising:Datagran has raised over $5 million.Earlier notable angel investors include Telefonica, Quake Capital, Beresford Partners, and C-level executives from Uber and Bain & CompanyHere's why Brenton Cromwell, Senior Data Scientist at OpenDoor, invested in Datagran:

## FAQ
1. **Why is the valuation cap lower this round than for earlier investors? 27 vs 20**
 - Hey Gordon, I just sent an email to Republic investors explaining this. First of all our last equity round was 14m. That means that this is not a down round. We are maintaining that valuation. Second we are lowering the valuation based on the last SAFE taking into account the new economic reality and startup valuations. At the end this does not impact Republic investors because they convert based on the valuation of the next equity round. Now, this deal is better because it does include a 15%...
2. **I understand that Data Gran does not expect to require additional funding anymore as from 2023 onwards. So there is no liquidity event planned that would trigger the conversion of the SAFEs. What should be a reasonable expectation for new investors on when a conversion could t...**
 - Hey Joris, at the end you should not look for an equity round or a conversion, you should look for an ipo or an exit. Here’s an example, let’s say we do a Series A and there’s a conversion, in that case there’s no liquidity event for you. You would need to wait for an exit or ipo. On the other hand let’s say we don’t raise any more rounds, in this case you would still need to wait for a liquidity event. but to answer your question in about 6 years you should see a liquidity event from Datagra...
3. **Would it be possible to link to the Form C? I was hoping to review it and couldn't find it online or in the WeFunder profile page.**
 - David, we haven’t launched the campaign. We are just in testing the waters. Once we launch we should be in 15 days you will be able to see the FormC. Thanks for your interest.
4. **Just curious why you went with wefunder over republic………… I am an investor in wefunder and want to hear first hand data……… if u r not comfortable answering u don’t have to………. Second what are your revenue projections going forward? U seem to have lots of big customers yet u r ...**
 - Hey Eliezer, we actually did a Republic campaign before and it was a disaster. Mostly because the Republic team made too many mistakes. For example they had problems with the Escrow agent and with those delays the campaign lasted just 1 month instead of 4. When they sent our email blast they stated that our growth was 20% YoY instead of 20% MoM and I can go on and on. That said when Wefunder reached out we where more than happy to try it out. In terms of revenue projections our plan is to gro...
5. **Hi Carlos why Republic contracts are still not updated with the valuation of $14M instead it still shows $27M.**
 - Hey, there was a question about this below. Will encourage you to read it and if you have further questions let me know.

## Q&A
- Q: Hello, Nice work! 1. What is the value of what you charge vs what you charge? Other words, can you charge more and still provide tremendous value? 2. Have updated 2023 rev and 2024 forecasts? 3. Where do you see sales in three years and how do you plan to achieve it? 4. Is that sbux bump in March 2024 50k on top of current MRR? 5. Can you explain the 30%retention? Of every 10 custs, 3 stay, or is it something different? Was a highlight, so want to make sure I understand. Thank you and congratulations.
 - A: Hey Jeremy, 1. Not sure I understand your question. 2. In 2023 our rev was about $800k. In 2024 it should be around 1.2m 3. We should double every year. The way to achieve it is building what customers want. 4. Correct. 5. Correct. That's for SMB clients that register on the website. If you do a benchmark with other companies like Slack that's a great number. Thank you for the questions.
- Q: Why is the valuation cap lower this round than for earlier investors? 27 vs 20
 - A: Hey Gordon, I just sent an email to Republic investors explaining this. Now, this deal is better because it does include a 15% discount on the next equity round so I would take advantage of it. Best
- Q: Thank you for responses. I'll say #1 a different way. It appears to me that you are getting big wins with A+ customers. Are you charging enough for your services? For number 3, yes be fortunate and smart enough to build what customers want. But takes more than that to be a $25 million rev or $100m rev company. The company appears to be technically ready to do great. Business operations and promotion maybe could use some additional resources? I don't know. Do you have what you need to get up that size? What's your vision of what the company will be in terms of sales? And types of liquidity events? Thank you, Jeremy
 - A: Hey Jeremy, Before I respond u want to thank you for your investment. We appreciate your support. Re your questions: 1. You are right, we are not charging enough. To solve that we need to first change the way our clients use us. As of know a client would build an automation, let it run and then come back about once a week. We need to change that and have our clients come back every single day. To achieve that we will be introducing tools like the Slack bot or teams bot. That way clients will be using our product every day and we will be charging for per user (and others) in those slack channels for example. 2. I believe your next question is related to the previous one. if we can be that hub that allows all business users to explore their data easily then We really don’t need ads or anything else. Growth will be organic. In the past what ads and pr had brought us is a spike in users that never come back. The key is virality and vitality will happen only with daily usage and users getting real value. Stay tuned for our new website where we will be showing this new value prop
- Q: Hi - Do you leverage a 3rd party LLM (e.g. ChatGPT)? If so, what is the secret suace that Datagran provides?
 - A: Hello Jeff, thanks for your question. We actually use GPT4-34k. It is the best LLM atm and it gives us the best performance. You can use it via our Jedi NLP Operator, basically you can ask any question about your data. Our secret sauce is that we are an end to end data platform that empowers business teams. You can easily connect your data and analyze it with Natural Language. The best part is that we are integrated to the tools business users use every day like Slack, Teams and Notion. Let me know if this helps.
- Q: Hey Carlos, how are things going with DataGran?
- Q: Hello, It sort of sounds like you will be competing against MSB.AI ?
- Q: I understand that Data Gran does not expect to require additional funding anymore as from 2023 onwards. So there is no liquidity event planned that would trigger the conversion of the SAFEs. What should be a reasonable expectation for new investors on when a conversion could take place? I want to avoid that that SAFEs get never converted or only in very bad scenarios.
 - A: Hey Joris, at the end you should not look for an equity round or a conversion, you should look for an ipo or an exit. Here’s an example, let’s say we do a Series A and there’s a conversion, in that case there’s no liquidity event for you. You would need to wait for an exit or ipo. On the other hand let’s say we don’t raise any more rounds, in this case you would still need to wait for a liquidity event. but to answer your question in about 6 years you should see a liquidity event from Datagran. Hope this helps
- Q: The real advantage comes when automation is combined with actionable advertising intelligence, allowing teams to optimize performance without adding operational complexity. That’s exactly where platforms like ASTRAD fit into the modern programmatic ecosystem. By combining https://astrad.io/analyzing-the-impact-of-subscription-marketing-on-consumer-behavior/ DSP and DMP technologies into a unified multi-channel platform, ASTRAD enables advertisers to build smarter campaign workflows, streamline optimization, and manage audience data at scale.
- Q: You didn't answer my earlier question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ELXACQ6aMo&t=27s To fix this you have to ask the right questions.
- Q: Given the latest research report from CMU on current AI projects, assuming you do better than them, this is the perfect time to market your company. All the various chatbots were tested and performed properly between 2 and 30% of the time. Most were in the 2-5% correct actions in the testing for standard office work like word, spreadsheets, etc.
- Q: Hey there, I run a community round focused venture fund and have a few questions for you that I'd love to ask 1 on 1 if possible. What's the best way to reach you before end of the community round for a zoom meeting?
- Q: Hi Carlos, your Landing some extremely impressive customers. I can't help but think other companies with such enormous customers that are leaning into your product, that your sales revenue would be much much higher. Like in the many millions at the value provide is that much more valuable which it seems to be to them in whole. I know you had agreed before, have you made any headway in this area?
 - A: Hey Jeremy, actually this week we closed two more clients, $5k each. We are no technically at break even. Almost $80k in MRR. Take in mind we are not legacy software like SAP which has to do a lot of consultancy and in part that’s why they charge so much. We are more comparable with an Intercom or Asana. In a big company their check can be about $5k which is similar to what we have. Hope this helps.
- Q: Hi there, a) What is your most recent monthly burn rate? b) What is your most recent monthly cash on hand? c) Are you raising a parallel angel or VC round simultaneously? If yes, who is investing in this round?
 - A: Hello, a) About $5k b) We have about a year of runway c) we are not raising a parallel round Best
- Q: I invested in Datagran last week, and I'm super-excited about the company. I think your potential is UNLIMITED. ........ I would like to invest more soon, but you're closing in only three days. I need another couple of weeks to obtain additional funds. Will there be an opportunity to invest in your fantastic company again?
 - A: Tom, thanks for the kind words. Unfortunatelt we will not extend the campaign. Thanks for the support. There will not be another opportunity for now. Best
- Q: I was going to invest but you raised the minimum investment from $100 to $200. Trying to stay within my legal investment limit per year as a retail investor. $100 would've been nice to invest at.
