There are approximately 2M farmers selling direct to consumer. Many are young, smart, and tech savvy – they are motivated by sustainability issue and want to make a difference. And there are consumers who are equally passionate about these issues and want transparency about the source of their food and who produced it. But buying local in-season food and eating sustainably comes with a learning curve.It can be a struggle adapting to local, in-season harvests, consumers are introduced to new ingredients like kohlarabi or fennel and sometimes too much volume of one ingredient. They don’t know how– it’s very different than the experience at the grocery store where you can buy anything anytime.Homecooks - need support and education and are looking to their farmer for help.Farmers&nbsp;(our paying customer) lacks the time, tools, and resources for marketing and customer retention. We'll be leveraging a referral program as well in this early phase. During our prelaunch phase we've had several farmers sign up to our waiting list and they are referring others to us. We're operating lean and highly targeted to successfully launch. To date our user growth has been organic with limited to expenses applied toward social campaigns. The majority of our user growth will come from farmers as they bring their customers on to the platform. Farm subscriptions will be sold for $34.99/month. Farmers who invest will get a discount as listed in the perks section of this campaign. We'll offer a premium upgrade later this year for users. That price has not yet been defined.
