## FAQ
1. **Do you have a system in place to search out and remove fraudulent detectives?**
 - We utilize a performance and credential-based reputation system to vet Medical Detectives, called the DetectiveRating (DR) System. Within this system, new users have relatively little influence until they prove their case-solving skills, as measured by their correct diagnostic and solution suggestions, points won and peer ratings. We also have a process to formally verify the medical credentials of new Medical Detectives with the relevant state or national medical licensing board, which allow...
2. **How many of previous VCs are participating in this round?**
 - This round is only for small investors. However two of our initial seed investors, NEA and Khosla Ventures, supported us with a follow-on investment last year.
3. **Why are you going to crowdfunding with top VC firms already invested? Are current investors expected to continue funding the company?**
 - We've received several unsolicited investment offers from CrowdMed patients over the years, and our main objective with this campaign is to finally allow them an opportunity to invest in the company. Our top VC investors have said that they support CrowdMed and intend to continue funding us in subsequent rounds as we hit key milestones.
4. **1. Why don't you have any MD's on your team (shown above)? 2. How much does a consumer pay (all out of pocket?) to use your services and how would the consumer know in advance if their case is classified as standard, elite or premium, which presumably they need to know to figu...**
 - 1. Our medical advisor, Dr. Greg Denari, is a retired physician with 30+ of experience, board certified in Family Medicine with professional appointments at Santa Teresa Community Medical Center and The Permanente Medical Group. Greg has also served as an adjunct professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and the Pennsylvania State University, College of Human Development. 2. 5. **How is your NPS (Net Promoter Score)?**
 - We don't track NPS as a metric, however we know that our patients have a 5x preference for CrowdMed vs the traditional medical system

## Q&A
- Q: Any updates for 2022? I am not sure whats the plan with the investments? Are you going to convert those?
- Q: This is a good idea in theory but I don't think the $400 incentive is enough for Western physicians to spend time investigating things for a patient that is not personally even under their care. The whole business model seems to hinge on this incentive, and average patients won't be able to pay any higher to fund that incentive. I'm afraid most of your medical detectives will probably end up being doctors from developing countries. Are there any other incentives that you are working on?
 - A: About 90% of our detectives are in the US or Canada, and the rest mostly from Europe, Australia, and Israel. You're correct that the $400 average reward isn't enough to incentivize Western physicians on its own, but the cash incentive is only part of their motivation. Other incentives include intellectual challenge, competing with peers on our leaderboards, our DetectiveRating reputation system, cross-disciplinary learning, and altruism. Also, many of our detectives are retired physicians, nurses, med students, and other types of medical experts who aren't purely money-motivated.
- Q: If you all of a sudden get several of the large insurers on line with a thousand cases, what does that do to your system?
 - A: From a technical standpoint, our system is nearly infinitely scalable since the process is 100% automated on our end -- all we have to do is spin up more servers. The gating factor is the size our Medical Detective community, as we target a certain ratio between active cases and active Medical Detectives to maintain results quality. Since CrowdMed is a marketplace, additional cases bring additional cash rewards, which in turn attract more Medical Detectives. So, we expect in any major influx of new cases to attract a comparable influx of new Medical Detectives.
- Q: Where is Wefunder success team when you really need them?
- Q: Has anybody reached out since the sale?
- Q: Companies like these I would never invest on Wefunder.
- Q: Any updates? Are you still active?
- Q: Hello. I'm an early Wefunder investor, fan, and user. I love the product and your mission. Do you have any updates on if or when there would be a liquidity event? Have any companies approached you about an acquisition? I'd like to know more about how you're thinking about your exit strategy. Thanks!
- Q: I have not heard anything in a long time. Any updates?
- Q: Where is the 2020 year-end update?
 - A: Hi Todd, we just posted a new investor update.
- Q: I have a question. Per my contract, it looks like CrowdMed is legally obligated to pay me the entire principal amount plus interest. How do I go about collecting on this? Please see the terms below: 3. Maturity. Unless sooner paid or converted in accordance with the terms hereof, the entire unpaid principal amount and all unpaid accrued interest shall become fully due and payable on the earlier of (i) September 28, 2017, or (ii) the acceleration of the maturity of this Note by the Holder upon the occurrence of an Event of Default (such earlier date, the “Maturity Date”).
 - A: As is typical with convertible notes for venture-backed startups, a majority of note holders has elected each year to extend the notes’ Maturity Date for another 12 months. Please reach out to Wefunder support if you need further details on how convertible notes typically work for startups and investors.
- Q: Hey there-it has been almost 8 months since your last investor update-what's been going on?
 - A: Hi Theresa, we just posted a new investor update.
- Q: I have thought your quest is brilliant from the beginning as I had hunted down a cure many years ago after wasting many dollars and precious time on many doctors. My question is how you seek out or familiarize the right professionals to get serious about sharing knowledge to support cures to their patients. I know the health care providers are changing based on patient experience related to health and hope this will encourage more doctors to lean into healing rather than medication cover up.
 - A: Hi J. Michele Preston, thanks so much for posting your question and sharing your experience. We have an open access network for our Medical Detectives and encourage a wide variety of healthcare professionals to participate. It is the number of Medical Detectives that participate on a case that help bring about new insights and outcomes for patients - taking into account a wide variety of specialties and medical experiences all of these individuals are able to communicate and interact with not only one another - but also with the patient themselves on the platform. This dynamic interaction enhances the sharing of knowledge about an individual patient case, as well as individual medical detectives experiences - while keeping the patient at the center of the conversation. We have found that those Medical Detectives who are naturally drawn to the platform are already more prone to sharing knowledge an adopting new healthcare approaches. As crowdsourcing for medical treatment becomes more familiar and prevalent we hope this will create a natural movement toward a different approach to healthcare. We hope this explanation helps and please do let us know if you have any additional questions.
- Q: @Danyell: We got an annual report for. 2017. What has changed since then (it was a convertible note back then too)? According to the clause 3.3 Disclosure of Information: "Such Investor further represents that it has had an opportunity to ask questions and receive answers from the Company regarding the terms and conditions of the offering of the Securities and the business, properties, prospects and financial condition of the Company."
