Oakland's first cidery; producing dry cider in the heart of the city

## Elevator pitch
Crooked City Cider is Oakland's original cider; producing a variety of kick-ass dry craft ciders, currently available at select Oakland bars and restaurants and at our shared tasting room. We're raising funds to support the buildout of our new taproom in Oakland's Jack London neighborhood. We've secured a lease and are planning a late summer opening. The minimum cost of the buildout has already been secured through loans and company savings.

## FAQ
1. **Couple of questions. 1) Will repayment be based on net revenues of all of your operations (current plus new tap room) or just the new tap room revenues? 2) Revenues declined from 2016 to 2017 due to lower "Sales of Product Income". Can you explain what "Sales of Product Income...**
 - Hi Brandon, yes, the repayment will be based on the net revenues of both the production and tap room revenues. Salea of Product income is the total dollar amount coming in from cider being sold in kegs. In 2017 I signed with a distributor in the hopes they would significantly boost sales, unfortunately, they did not (as you can see!). I'm currently on the hunt for a new distributor to help expand sales.
2. **“Net Revenues” means all of the Borrower’s cash receipts, less returns, discounts and shipping costs, from all sales of any kind. in 2017 you made 65K. 5% is just over 3K. it would take years to pay back at ~3K a quarter.**
 - Hi Daniel, those are all past sales and yes, it would take a long time if we planned to cease growth. However, we project net revenues to be significantly higher with the opening of the tap house.
3. **What are those projections? Any way to display the financial docs in the raise instead of having to "fake" invest and then find the documents? This raise has little to no information in the main wefunder page so that is concerning. Transparency is key.**
 - Thanks for the question. You can find our financial statements prior to investing by clicking on the Form C link towards the bottom of our page (it's under the section called "Other Disclosures") and then document 5. If there's anything else I can do to clarify this please let me know. Thanks!
4. **The net income is in negative for current fiscal year. Do you have plans to overcome this.**
 - Hi Meenakshi, absolutely! We're planning to not only increase sales through a new distributor, but also increase net revenue through direct to consumer sales at the new tap house.
5. **After the full re-payment, investors won't have an ownership interest in the company, right? In other words, the crow-funding would be closer to a loan than an investment.**
 - Hi Daniel, correct. Via Wefunder, your investment is a loan. If you'd like to discuss equity, please contact us at info@crookedcitycider.com

## Q&A
- Q: Hi Dana! It looks like some of the other investors have already received their payments. Are the payments being staggered? I haven't gotten an email yet.
- Q: Apologies if this is a stupid question and you already have and I just don't know how my WeFunder account works (very possible), but what's happening with starting payments on this?
 - A: Never stupid questions :). We will begin payments within 30 days of the end of 2019, per the Wefunder agreement.
- Q: If you hadn't noticed, there were two payments from CCC. Assuming this is last dollars we'll see. Nice to get something additional back.
- Q: I just learned Crooked City Cider was sold to and now is Hersher's Pizza. Dana Bushouse is gone in the night without so much as a word to us investors who lent her thousands -total D move... Investors, you have lost whatever principal you invested, which means for many of us a loss of upwards of 85% of original principal.
- Q: What is the status of investor payments? To date, I've only received 6% of the promised return on a loan made 4.5 years ago. Why not at least have the courtesy to let investors know what is happening?
- Q: Will you post anything about what the change in ownership means for people who invested through wefunder?
- Q: Hello i know times have been crazy, do you have a plan on picking back up with investor payments, as per Wefunder agreements? or what is the plan or updates on the business, last one i saw was over 9 months ago just saying youre still afloat. thank you
- Q: will I be getting any return on my investment soon?
- Q: I did receive a Crooked City payment, but no notification from WeFunder. I asked WeFunder and they advised me that it was available for withdrawal. I suggest investors ask WeFunder periodically if they’re holding any repayments of yours. It’s the only way you’ll know.
- Q: I have the same question as Xenia Shih Bion - Have all investor payments been sent to WeFunder? I haven't received any kind of notification. WeFunder is absolutely the worst fiduciary on the planet - on their web site there is no way to know they have any of your money if you miss (or they don't send) an email notifying you of it. They will literally sit on it forever unless you proactively check with them every once in a while to find out.
- Q: Got my payment last week. There's a link in the WeFunder email that will take you to a page where you can choose withdrawal or leave for future investments. I did not find any way onto that page from another page on this site, only via email. Thanks Dana for the hard work.
 - A: Thanks for the information Kevin, sounds like it's as confusing on your end as it has been on my end ;).
- Q: You say you have paid WeFunder who should be distributing payments to the investors, can you advise how much you have paid to date?
 - A: Yes, we will be publishing an update this week with those details.
- Q: Hi Dana, I received an email about a payment but can't find any information here. Please advise when you have a chance. Thanks!
 - A: Yes, we've started repayments! You'll have to contact Wefunder on specifics as we paid them and then they will pay you...
- Q: Why am i not getting paid on my promised investment?? i get all of these emails about how awesome things are going...why are you not fulfilling your guarantee?
 - A: Hi Kristie, Thanks for your question and for your investment. Starting a new business is insane, and yes we are excited that people are loving the space and enjoying what we have built! We are fulfilling our side of the deal, based on the Wefunder agreement, we will begin payments no later than 30 days after the end of 2019.
- Q: What’s the time line to start making payments back to those who invested?
 - A: Hi Ryan, we're getting super close to opening the bar and expect to start making payments soon thereafter!
