The nice thing about pre-rolls is that there is nothing new or different for people to do. They smoke it, they like it, they look into what Bud Love is and next time may purchase a pouch and use it. Pre-rolls are also one of the fastest growing segments of the cannabis market. So as you thought, for us this is a good way to introduce people to Bud Love. On social media we're mainly focused on Instagram and we now have almost 6,000 followers, but many more people who actually react to our posts. The playlist Bud Lovers is mainly influencers and the playlist Product Reviews are reviews we've received from cannabis YouTubers. There is no doubt we have a product the people like - check out the reviews on our web site - each one a genuine customer review. Also, we shot this fun video in Austin recently at the time of the South by Southwest festival where we went around giving free samples and filming people's reactions to Bud Love: https://vimeo.com/814734478 Our sales strategy focuses on 3 channels - direct to consumer where we can educate customers online and scale reach through advertising plus our margins are large. Our sales on budlove.com have been doubling each month for the past 4 months. We also have been accepted on Amazon and are selling with Prime delivery. We've been successful at having ads accepted by Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and are gaining many new customers that way. Also, we advertise on Amazon which has great returns on ad spend as well as on Google. All of this is not possible for a cannabis company. Next we are distributing through smoke shops - primarily focused on Texas for now and expending to other states later in the year. The advantage of this channel is that it has established distributors and master distributors which can get us reach. The disadvantage is that smoke shop attendants are not often there to educate the customer. Finally there is the regulated cannabis channel - what can be done varies from state to state. Here we tend to partner with a local company who distribute our pouches to dispensaries and also product Bud Love Inside pre-rolls the are already mixed with cannabis. We started off in Oklahoma to find our feed and have now expanded to MI with an MSO parter called Eureka. We are soon to expand in NV with another great local partner. At the core of it, Bud Love addresses some important unmet needs of cannabis consumers, namely: wanting more control over their experience and the opportunity to customize, and wishing to avoid unwanted side-effects such as coughing, anxiety and paranoia. The marshmallow leaf in Bud Love burns cooler than cannabis and is a medicinal herb which results in less coughing and throat irritation. The CBG in Bud love, makes for a happier and more social high with no anxiety or paranoia. It also allows people to stretch their flower because they can get the same effect with half the amount of cannabis. Finally the terpenes in Bud Love allow for choice over flavor and effect. Finally we also produce a tobacco flavored Bud Love designed for those looking to wean themselves off tobacco in the splits. It smells and tastes of tobacco but has no nicotine and all the benefits of marshmallow leaf and CBG. As for the development of the cannabis market, whilst there is a lot of variety on paper the trend in practice s actually in the opposite direction due to the inevitable growth and consolidation of players and the economic benefits of standardization. This came out in one of the focus group we ran - people are actually a bit bored of their choices. Sadly, I don't see cannabis breeding providing the benefits of Bud Love any time soon because the economics of cannabis push towards higher and higher THC levels. But this doesn't make good cannabis nor a good experience. By putting the CBG (minors) back into cannabis Bud Love is competing the picture and helping rebalance the entourage effect.
