## FAQ
1. **Sounds interesting. Could you please give me some specific examples of how the financial growth you expect will be reinvested in the lives of the farmers and communities you partner with? This is mentioned in the promo, but I'd love to hear some clear examples. Thanks.**
   - Hi Dr. Yoxall, Thank you for your question. Biochar Life's business model is designed to directly benefit the farmers we work with. We train farmers to create and ‘charge’ biochar as a fertiliser and remunerate them for producing it, which supplements their traditional earnings and provides financial stability. Additionally, using biochar as a fertiliser helps increase their crop yields, resulting in improved food security for the farmers’ families. We are also committed to fostering growth w...
2. **The 2x return is very generous. How long do you expect that ROI to take?**
   - Based on our current business plan and sales forecasts, investors can anticipate receiving a 2x ROI within a timeframe of 5 to 7 years. Like any investment, there is inherent risk. However, we have based our projections on conservative estimates. The demand for durable Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) is projected to range from 40 to 200 million tonnes of CO2 per year, which is expected to translate into a market value of $10 billion to $40 billion by 2030. With these projections in mind, we rema...

4. **Hi. Are you doing this in Thailand?**
   - Hi James - Yes, we started out in Thailand and though today the majority of our farmer teams and production is in East Africa we expect to see accelerated growth in Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries over the next couple of years. We will continue to train and onboard more farmers accordingly.
5. **Good evening. I sponsor a child through Compassion International, https://www.compassion.com/. I don't know if you have heard of them, but I want to help the villages. If I understand Biochar Life's business, it can be a Godsend to this organization. I believe in Biochar Life....**

## Q&A
- Q: The 2x return is very generous. How long do you expect that ROI to take?
  - A: Based on our current business plan and sales forecasts, investors can anticipate receiving a 2x ROI within a timeframe of 5 to 7 years. With these projections in mind, we remain optimistic about not only meeting but potentially exceeding our timeframe expectations. If you have time one day, I'd be more than happy to share our sales forecasts and business strategy with you in more detail during a call.
- Q: Good evening. I sponsor a child through Compassion International, https://www.compassion.com/. I don't know if you have heard of them, but I want to help the villages. If I understand Biochar Life's business, it can be a Godsend to this organization. I believe in Biochar Life. I am glad I am an investor, but I am just trying to understand its potential. I hope I am asking a question that is appropriate.
  - A: Dear Mercile Pearce, Thank you for your investment in the futures of the communities we serve. Our goal is to help communities build self-sufficiency and food security through improved crop yields, cleaner air, and added cash income to send their children to school. Your support through Compassion seems well aligned with our goals of supporting families. - Q: Thanks for the opportunity. I have reserved an amount. Can I just ask if this is different from existing carbon credit markets? They seem to be a bit misunderstood and going through some scandals, so am keen to understand how Biochar interacts with them. And related to that, does this drive real long term removal of carbon from the environment while pushing improvements in crop yields, etc?
  - A: Hi Malcolm - firstly, thank you for joining the community as an investor! You're correct in noting that the carbon credit market has faced challenges and misunderstandings. Biochar Life operates within a specific niche of this market, focusing on durable carbon removal through biochar. You can find a breakdown of producers and buyers of durable carbon removal at this link: https://www.cdr.fyi/ Durable Carbon Removal: Biochar is recognised as a form of durable carbon removal because it involves converting agricultural waste into a stable form of carbon that can remain sequestered in the soil for thousands of years. Unlike some carbon credit schemes that may be temporary or reversible (such as tree planting, which risks carbon release through fires or logging), biochar provides a permanent solution to carbon sequestration. This permanence makes biochar an appealing and reliable option within the carbon credit markets, especially for investors and stakeholders seeking long-term environmental benefits. Agricultural Benefits: In addition to carbon sequestration, biochar significantly contributes to agricultural improvement. When used as a soil amendment, biochar enhances soil fertility, increases water retention, and can lead to better crop yields. This not only aids in the fight against climate change but also supports sustainable agricultural practices, improving food security and livelihoods for smallholder farmers. Our model is designed to benefit farmers directly by providing them with an additional income stream through biochar production and by improving their agricultural productivity. Our work with biochar not only captures carbon effectively (and immediately) but also delivers tangible improvements in agriculture, demonstrating a holistic approach to addressing climate change and supporting rural communities. I hope this helps to answer the question and please reach out if you need further information.

Additionally, using biochar as a fertiliser helps increase their crop yields, resulting in improved food security for the farmers’ families. We are also committed to fostering growth within these communities and so we prioritise hiring from within for roles such as verifiers, trainers, and coordinators, ensuring that the majority of our revenue supports local development. I hope this helps and please reach out if you have further questions. Thank you, Matt
- Q: Hi Reto, thank you for your inquiry. I sent you an email with details. Also, Matt will be providing a more detailed update to you and broader investor group on sales, tech development and more going into 2026. Take care.
- Q: How high were the Q4 sales and by when do you expect to pay out the 2 % share? Thank you.
- Q: When can we expect the first payout under the revenue share agreement, thank you?
  - A: Dear Reto, Thank you for your inquiry. We are pleased to report that we successfully secured two new customer contracts in late April. We are currently in the process of confirming the cash flow timelines for these recently executed agreements. Our preliminary outlook suggests a loan repayment distribution to our investors during Q3 or Q4 of the current year. The final amount of this repayment will be contingent upon the confirmed sales revenue for the period. We are happy to address any additional questions you may have. Sincerely, Jason
- Q: Amazing project! I'm curious what your policy is around giving back to the farmers / verifiers. Do they receive a percentage of the carbon credits they fulfill? I couldn't find information in the documents, maybe I missed it! Thanks in advance.
  - A: Hi Vincent, Thank you for your question. Yes, we distribute proceeds from carbon credit sales to the farmers, local teams, and community. On average, we distribute 60%-80% of the sales, depending on the country. Improving the economic livelihoods of farmers and community members is a key mission of our business.
