# AmmoSquared

Ammunition ownership for the digital age.

## Elevator pitch
AmmoSquared simplifies ammunition ownership. We essentially turn ammunition into a digital commodity. This allows customers to purchase ammunition in small amounts (less than a full box) via a recurring "drip" purchase plan. Physical inventory is stored off-site, exchangeable, and deliverable upon demand or automatically via a preset schedule.

## Story
Our mission is to simplify ammunition ownership for the 94 million+ gun owners in America and make ammo easier to PURCHASE, STORE, EXCHANGE, and RECEIVE.How It WorksCustomers purchase ammunition via a recurring "drip" purchase plan on a regular schedule (like funding a 401k). That ammunition is securely stored off-site and is managed by the customer online. Stored ammunition can easily be sold or exchanged for new calibers as needed. All ammunition is then deliverable on-demand or via a pre-set schedule. How We Got StartedThe initial spark for AmmoSquared occurred in 2013 when consumers across the country were experiencing mass ammo shortages. At that time, our founder Dan was a regular at the range and experienced first hand the challenges everyone in the market was going through. Finding popular calibers such as 9mm, 5.56, or .22LR was a stroke of luck. Then even when you did find decent ammo during that time, you had to also be willing to pay above-market prices to get it. It wasn't uncommon to see prices double or even triple for some of the harder to find ammunition. The situation made Dan wonder if there was a service out there that would allow him to build up his ammo inventory a little bit each month, like an ammo 401k. He also thought it would be ideal if it was a service where he could "set it and forget it" to accumulate in the background so he could avoid falling victim to another shortage in the future. Of course, there wasn't a service like that... yet. With that simple idea, AmmoSquared was born. Over the past 4 years, Dan and his wife Danielle have worked long hours on this labor of love growing the business and testing new ideas to better understand what gun owners want.Market ValidationDan and Danielle started with a simple idea, a website, and industrial storage racks from Costco (ammunition is HEAVY!). After some tweaks, they had their first customer buying $5 of ammo per month of 45 ACP. That one customer soon became 10. Ten became 100. One hundred eventually became 1,000. Before long AmmoSquared moved from the garage into a small warehouse and Dan quit his corporate job in order to work full-time on growing the company.Customer TractionThis small, family-run business has generated over $1m in revenue with an average subscription value of $45 per month. Today revenue comes primarily from ammunition sales but there is an opportunity to add more value to customers through additional products and services. With a new business concept and limited resources, AmmoSquared's growth hasn't always been the typical "up and to the right". But through it all, we have been diligently working out bugs, testing new ideas, and building the brand. Growth has averaged 14.1% per month since our start - all with very little money spent on marketing! The Business ModelOur core business is built on a recurring subscription service for the purchase, storage, and delivery of ammunition. We have done initial marketing tests using referral and paid marketing placement and have seen a 14X return on our marketing dollars. With our updated product, new marketing initiatives, and improved operational efficiencies the business will continue to grow over the next 3-5 years increasing our margins and profits. The 3-year projections are based upon our current metrics and data. To achieve our goals we will increase the customer base by 5 times what it is today. With the product platform investment, we will reduce the customer churn by 0.8% monthly while increasing the average lifespan of a customer by 6 months. With our larger customer base, better product offerings and upsells, our margins will increase. The direct relationships with ammo manufacturers will also add to our increase in margin and projected revenue and gross profit. Our planned future business platform will allow us to expand our current ammunition subscription model with an online ammunition exchange where customers will not only be able to purchase, but also easily sell back, and exchange ammunition. For this service, we will collect transaction fees for the sale or exchange of ammunition. With this ammo exchange in place, customers will be able to benefit from rapidly changing marketplace conditions and have the ability to quickly and easily purchase, hold, or sell ammunition online with or without ever taking delivery. This digital ammunition exchange will be a first in the industry! Our VisionEvery gun owner in America should have two forms of ammunition: physical that they store in their house and take to the range, and digital which is accumulating in the background, easily exchangeable, and deliverable on demand The TeamIn order to truly realize the potential of the business and create an amazing experience for customers, Dan and Danielle have brought on two new co-founders with experience in growing, creating products used by millions, and scaling businesses: Chris Corriveau as CTO and Clay Knight as Head of Design. Our new founding team will take the company to the next level focusing on adding features to the existing platform then building out the digital ammunition exchange capability where ammunition can be purchased, managed, exchanged, sold, gifted, and delivered with a few clicks or swipes. The OpportunityAt AmmoSquared, we are creating a digital revolution for ammunition and unlocking greater convenience for the 95 million gun owners in America. Currently, ammunition sales alone make up over $4 Billion per year (data from ATF excise tax in 2017) which is 30% of the overall 13.3b small arms market in the US. The firearms industry is primarily made up of private companies and a handful of publicly-traded companies, so the opportunity to invest in this industry is limited. While the firearms industry sees many new product launches each year, digital innovation has thus far been lacking. We believe AmmoSquared is the first innovation in the history of ammunition that truly brings ammunition into the digital age. Join UsWe're looking for investors large and small, customers and supporters alike who believe in our mission and vision of simplifying ammunition ownership. It has always been our approach to involve the entire AmmoSquared (and 2A) community. Now is your shot!If you believe in our vision of changing the way people buy ammunition then join us for the next part of this incredible journey!Don't forget to hit the "REMIND ME" button above to get future updates...

## FAQ
1. **Do you intend to pay a dividend?**
 - Hi Craig thanks for the question. We will pay a dividend in the future if we are unable to invest profits in a way that will grow the company and provide a good (15%+) ROI for investors. If or when we reach that point it will be better for us to return money to the investors in a dividend.
2. **Hi! Love the branding and the website looks good. Props for bootstrapping to now. Some questions: 1. What problem are you solving? If I'm worried about shortages why buy over time and not stockpile while I can? I can see the cost effectiveness and convenience but most gun enth...**
 - Hi Douglas thanks for asking! I'll answer your questions in order: 1. Our customers like the convenience of setting aside money on a regular basis and having ammo delivered to their door automatically. If you are stocking manually you need to hunt down ammo, place orders and find a place to store everything. Our service is literally "set-it and forget-it" until it shows up on your doorstep. We like to say that you can have it both ways - you should have ammo at home as well as accumulate in t...
3. **Thanks for your answer! Couple more questions for you: Does the price of ammo fluctuate to the extent that customers are truly dollar cost averaging? It sounds like the money raised will go to the website and to marketing. Is the website "bottleneck" backed up with customers? ...**
 - No problem! So the price of ammo does fluctuate but it more long term cyclical. We try to keep it stable on a month to month basis. One of our planned improvements is a daily price monitor of specific SKUs that can act as a bellweather for that caliber and grade. The website isn't backed up, but we know it is a leaky bucket. People try to sign up and it isn't as intuitive as we would like. Changes to subscriptions are also frustrating to customers. We have detailed customer feedback on these ...
4. **How are you handling California’s ammunition background check law? More states can or will also likely follow with similar legislature.**
 - Hi Kevin, we were originally hit pretty hard when the CA background check law went into place in January 2018. You can actually see that on our customer growth chart: starting in 2017 and ending in early 2018 we lost about 20-25% of our customer base. Since then many CA customers have returned because our service allows customers to accumulate over time, then get one big shipment delivered to their FFL. It is still less convenient than just getting it shipped to your home, but since all onlin...
5. **What made you decide to go from being a privately held company to now publicly held?**
 - Hi Cole,We have not gone public, we are still a private company. We decide to reach out and offer investors the opportunity to invest publicly for a few reasons. Our customers have been dedicated and loyal and we look at them as friends and family. Our customers have helped support us to this point so it just seemed logical to offer them this opportunity. They really get what we are building and what the full potential of AmmoSquared can be. The other reason we also reached out publ...

## Q&A
- Q: Good Morning! Just wanted to say I am still over the moon with this company and love getting my awesome box filled with goodies every two months. With that said I love how it triggers and I don't have to remember to get on and click that button for it to send out! I am sure hoping there will be time again where I can invest once again and sure wishing I had invested much more back in 2020. Keep up the amazing work!
- Q: When did you start this business, I just invested and signed up for $25 a month
 - A: Thanks for signing up Robert! We started the business in 2015 as an LLC then incorporated in 2019 primarily in order to issue stock.
- Q: Hi Dan, not sure how old these last posts are but is there any plans of reopening the investment option? Thanks
 - A: Hi Joseph, this campaign was something we did end of last year into the start of this current year. We have closed the campaign and don’t have plans to open another round. If we do the best is to be a customer or sign up for our newsletter as we will post in those channels if we open a new round.
- Q: Good Morning Dan! When is our next round to invest? I just love this idea and this company!
 - A: Hi Vicki right now we don’t have a next round planned but if you are a customer or subscribed to our newsletters then we will announce if our plans change and we do open up a new round.
- Q: How much would 100 shares cost? Is the $1.38/share still accurate as of 03/19/20?
 - A: Hi Sam, Yep the cost for shares won't change now. 100 shares would be $138.
- Q: Can you guys please provide an update? What the current share price? ... haven't seen anything since the initial funding back in 2020.
- Q: I haven't received an update for quite sometime, I invested in April of 2020 and would like to know what's going on.
 - A: Hi Steven, yep we're behind on posting an annual update. There has been a lot of activity (the good kind) but it something I need to prioritize. I think you'll be pleased when you hear how much we've grown in recent months. Update forthcoming.
- Q: How can I contact you? Do you have an email that I can send to you to address a situation I noticed on my contract. Thank you.
 - A: Hi Marie please send an email to connect@ammosquared.com and it will get to the right person.
- Q: Is there Going to be another round for investing?
 - A: Hi Jorge, Right now there is no plan to have another investing round. But if there is we will be sure to make an announcement to all our customers and newsletter subscribers.
- Q: Thinking about joining but the selection seems limited. For instance, you have 7.62 NATO but no .308 Win. I don’t see any .32 ACP, and you have 9mm but no 9mm NATO or +p. Are these just the beginners choices or do you never have these options?
 - A: Hi Bob the current site is a little confusing and what we are working on fixing with the funds we have raised. We have all those options, when you click get started you will see only a basic selection in the drop down. What you want to do is click the “Armory” link in the paragraph above. This will take you to all the other calibers. Hope that helps.
- Q: I invested just before the covid outbreak. I'm just now seeing an email saying I didn't complete something although the money was already taken out of my account. Can someone assist me please. Thank you
 - A: Hi Dj we will look into it this week when we can get a hold of WeFunder to see what happened.
 - A: Hi DJ, I was able to see what you did the correct paperwork and everything was signed. Please email us so we can better understand what you got via email.
- Q: I just started a monthly "prescription" and would like to buy 100 shares.
 - A: Thanks for being a subscriber Robert! Unfortunately the crowdfund is closed so no stock is available at this time. If we do open another round you'll be one of the first to hear about it.
- Q: Hi Dan one more question for you. I was going to start my stock piling, but noticed the very high shipping price is there a better shipping deal as an investor?
 - A: Hi Vicki - we actually lose money on shipping. Our flat $15 is to cover our costs for small shipments (average shipment cost is probably closer to $18). The best deal is our Free Shipping at $250. As an investor you get 5% off product (but not shipping) if have invested over $500.
- Q: Hi Dan, I am so happy I got to invest before the round closed. When can I invest again and how do I get ammo when I just need and not a monthly basis. Cold weather and I tend to stay home, but by end of April should be out in our spot shooting again YAY. I have a Walther PK380 a favorite of my pistols and love to shoot it more than the others. A student broke my shoulder so right now the smaller pistols are best for me, and can't shoot any of my rifles :(
 - A: Hi Vicki, We're happy you were able to join the Crowdfund! We don't currently offer ammo on a non-subscription basis. But as we've seen with this ammo crisis even putting a little bit of money away each month with us as a "backup" supply is a very wise idea.
- Q: Will we get updates on how the business is doing now that we invested?
 - A: Susan, yes we update all our investors monthly via email. We posted the latest here just to make sure we have the correct emails and just let everyone know that we are pretty busy behind the scenes getting things ready. Check it out: https://wefunder.com/updates/1...
