## Story
A universal Electric Vehicle (EV) payment passport that streamlines the charging experience for everyoneOverview: AeonCharge is building universal mobile apps for EV drivers to locate, activate, and pay for EV chargers across different providers. Our solution to an inevitable problem in the EV space is consolidation. AeonCharge’s universal platform provides the necessary integration of all EV charging tools in a streamlined application. Our Journey: Three years ago, our team met on our first venture together in founding a non-profit organization at Purdue University, which later grew to a multinational organization. After a successful venture together, our bond as friends grew stronger and we decided to tackle another world-scale issue together. The EV space is rapidly growing and we decide to help in increasing EV adoption by consolidating the EV charging infrastructure in the United States. The Problem: We talked to 276 EV drivers in States across the United States and found a similar complaint: the EV charging system in the United States is broken. EV drivers have to go through the hassle of using multiple apps to find the most convenient charging locations. 7 out of 10 EV drivers claimed they owned more than 4 different apps for charging, requiring them to create separate accounts and insert payment information for each of the accounts. With the broken EV charging system in the United States, 87% of EV drivers own a second gasoline vehicle for longer-range trips. Even worse, 2 out of 10 EV owners abandon their EV because of charging inconveniences! Our Solution: Utilizing open charging protocol, complex proprietary data flow, and cutting-edge user experience, our mobile apps allow locating, activation, and payment through 2 simple clicks. In addition, our app allows brand advertisements for charger owners like local businesses, restaurants, and retail shops to attract EV patrons and earn more revenue. Why Now: The EV charging sector is a fast-growing market primed to explode. Between 2020 to 2027, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) is expected to hover around 46.6% following the boom of electric vehicles in the United States. Furthermore, fighting the climate crisis has become a top priority for policymakers, resulting in many new EV-friendly policies and mandates. In addition, the EV charging market is fragmented with several players occupying the market share (Technavio EV charging Stations Market 2020-2024 report). By becoming the universal payment passport or “Visa in the EV charging sector”, our project has a promising trajectory. Market Opportunity: Our total addressable market in the United States is $724 million in 2021 and will grow to $2.1 billion in 2025. This is based on a bottoms-up modelRevenue Model: We have two revenue pipelines: a freemium model for EV drivers and an advertisement fee for business owners. Standard EV drivers can use AeonCharge for free. We are partnering with charging networks, charge point operators, and utility companies to receive transaction revenue, with expected average revenue of $5.99/user/month; Premium EV drivers pay $8/user/mo for perks such as discounted charging sessions and promotional offers. On the other hand, charger owners and nearby businesses can purchase an advertising plan to attract EV patrons, consisting of a $0.5 Cost Per Click for ads on the app and a $2.5 Cost Per Lead for each paying EV driver at their business. With our current business model, the expected LTV/CAC is 31.6x and 45.6x for EV drivers and business owners. Traction: Our team has been able to secure funding from angel investors, equity crowdfunding, and a grant from the Regional National Science Foundation (NSF) for a total amount of $492,000 (in both cash and in-kind services). In addition, our project has received multiple national and international recognitions.Currently, we have integrated multiple major network operators. From our users' side, we are seeing a 373% month-over-month growth and 921 waitlisted users waiting for our public launch. Our current NPS score is 84 based on our private beta. In addition, we are backed by 12 state-level EV organization leaders and the board members of the largest national EV organization in the US, which allows us to get more insights from a wider range of EV drivers and charger providers. Recent press coverage: Yahoo Finance, Inside Indiana Business, Nasdaq, InvestorPlace, and ABC 212021June 22nd, 2021 - Private Beta (Close group testing, network operators) July 22nd, 2021 - Private Beta (Invite-only testing, network operators)October 23th, 2021 - Public Launch, network operators 2022January 2022 - Series A (open, duration 9 months) March 2022 - Private Beta (Close group testing, non-network operators)April 2022 - Private Beta (Invite only testing, non-network operators)July 2022 - Public Launch, non-network operatorsOct 2022 - Plug & Charge integration 2023 & afterJanuary 2023 - Series B (open, duration 9 months)2024 - partnership with automakers for built-in integrationForward-looking projections cannot be guaranteed.Final WordsOur dream is to increase EV adoption in the United States and we hope that by fixing the charging experience for drivers, we can encourage more people to shift to electric vehicles. Join us and be a part of our exciting venture!

## Q&A
- Q: What of the major charging networks have you made inroads with? Electrify America? EVGo? EVConnect? Chargepoint?
 - A: Hi Zach, thank you for your question. We will announce the names after we launch in late-November due to our marketing agreement with our partners. Just a hint, you guessed some names correctly!
- Q: Hi there: I am interested and have few questions: 1. Who are you competitors right now? 2. Who are the VCs invested? would you mind letting me know. 3. Is this still in pre-revenue? How do you generate revenue? what is the revenues projection next 12 month? revenue next couple of years. 4. How the valuation comes to 12M?
 - A: My Mohammad, thank you for your interest in AeonCharge. Here are the answers to your questions 1. Who are your competitors right now? We can't call other EV charging network providers as our competitors because we have partnered with a handful of them and plan to partner with everyone else. Again, our model is comparable to Expedia. We can't say Expedia is competing with Delta airlines although both of them sell Delta's tickets. In term of other companies that are doing a similar project, PlugShare and ChargeHub are two of companies that have the same passion as us! Our dream is to help existing EV drivers to charge easily at public locations. 2. Who are the VCs invested? Unfortunately, we can't disclose the name here per our agreement. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any follow up question about this. 3. Is this still in pre-revenue? How do you generate revenue? What is the revenue projection? Yes (and no). We currently don't open our app testing for public and just selected 350 EV drivers across the United States to test our app. Some transactions are involved for the testers. We have two main revenue pipelines: the EV drivers and sites. From the EV drivers, we take a cut of the transaction and we do have membership for power users. For sites, we do ads to drive more traffic to these businesses. We expect to hit $1M ARR next year as we plan to raise our next funding round and we have a very promising trajectory to hit our goal! 4. How the valuation comes to 12M? There are a lot of factor into play, including the market potential and traction we have achieved. In term of the potential, everyone knows that the electric vehicle space is primed to explode in the next few years. In term of the traction, our unit economics, users growth, app development, integrations with partners that we have done, getting into a prestigious accelerator (we are announcing this publicly in November), and interest from key stakeholders in the industry justify the 12M pre-money valuation. Please let me know if there is anything else you want to ask. We value your interest and excited to have you together with us venturing in this exciting space!

- Q: Hello
- Q: Congrats on becoming YC 2022 batch member. At what valuation?? Any update for the investors like me here on wefunder?
- Q: Hi Dwi, As suggested by you I have sent queries yesterday and didn't hear back. I hope someone will respond to my queries timely.
 - A: Hi Ashutosh, please let us know if you have any additional inquiries. Thank you for being an investor and for supporting our journey!
- Q: Hi Dwi, I really liked the concept and considering a BIG push from Mr. President to include EV in his personal fleet, I think your ide can fly. I have couple of questions before I invest. Are you still offering early bird offer and share price is $1.32. Also I have few questions about planned Round B and C as mentioned in the details. Is there a number where I can call you directly to understand the details. Also I would like to understand why the round is getting closed as you have only hit the First Goal where as you have mentioned to raise more funding in one of your comments
 - A: Hi Ashutosh, Thank you for your support toward our endeavor. Feel free to reach out to our team at team@aeoncharge.com and we can definitely provide you with more information. P.S. I personally thank you for believing in our team. We are this far because of supportive stakeholders like you. Best, Dwi Sutandar
- Q: What sets your product apart from the competition? What makes it different from the lead PlugShare?
 - A: Great question! We differentiate ourselves being the only ones providing interoperability across the various network operators and private charger hosts on a single platform. In simple words - we allow our users to activate, navigate, and pay for charging sessions from different networks. Plugshare is simply an EV charging database: they can only provide users with charger locations, and they fail to provide users the ability to activate chargers and pay for their charging sessions - which is the most important part of the charging transaction!
- Q: 1) I’m trying to get a better understanding of the corporate structure. Is Aeoncharge a subsidiary of Laegacy Inc., and – if so – which company are we investing in? (Also, does Laegacy have other companies in its portfolio?) 2) Your campaign page seems to suggest that you’re only raising $429K this round. Is that correct? 3) I like what you’re doing, but the valuation is giving me heartburn. At $12M, you’re valuing yourself at more than 4% of the initial addressable market ($282M) and 1.6% of the total serviceable market ($724M). That seems huge for a company at a pre-revenue stage. Of course, the other side of the equation is that the market itself is rather small. Bearing that in mind, what’s your path to becoming a unicorn when the addressable market isn’t going to be a billion dollars in size for a while?
 - A: Hi Kevin, Thank you for the thoughtful questions! Here are my answers: 1. Aeoncharge is a Doing-Business-As (DBA) name and Laegacy is the registered company. Currently Laegacy doesn't have other companies/DBA under it. 2. Yes, you are correct. However, we are considering the option to raise more to accelerate our progress. 3. Unlike conventional businesses, the electric vehicle (EV) space is growing rapidly with more than 40% CAGR, at least to 2027. Yes, the current total addressable market is relatively small in 2021, but it is projected to grow to $2.1B in 2025 and has a full potential of $95.3B in a fully saturated market. The $12M valuation comes from a lot of aspect, including our traction and the future potential. To add a little bit, $1M ARR is generally the rule of thumb to raise a series A, but there have been EV charging companies that went IPO before hitting the $1M ARR. This happens because of the compounded potential of the EV charging space.
- Q: Dwi Sutandar, Thank you for your response I will buy back in.
 - A: Hi Nicholas, Thank you for trusting us one more time!
- Q: Hello....I have just two questions, (1) What happened to the CEO/Co-founder Alec Jansen? Is he still an owner or affilated with the company? and (2) Is your partnership with EnelX still intact?
 - A: Hi Terrence, it seems like you have been following our company's growth for quite some time and I want to thank you personally for keep supporting our team! Alec is still owning shares in our team despite of Alec departed from Aeoncharge due to a personal reason. Still, he is involved in the capacity that he can contribute. About EnelX, the answer is yes. However, our app users may not be seeing EnelX chargers in the near future as we are focusing most of our effort in integrating network operators that are providing their chargers for public usage. Hope it helps! Please let me know if there is any additional question you would like to know about our team and our progress.
