The value of our ecosystem hinges on the strength of our community and it's growth, the growth of the content the community is creating, and the commerce that is created by the community's activities and the businesses that are connected into the ecosystem. We completed our Series A in Q4 2021. At that stage we were pre-revenue. In 2022 we turned on the key levers for our monetization strategy. First, a subscription based SaaS marketing tool for the 200k+ brands and businesses that have been reviewed on abillion. Two, a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows anyone to become a seller, in 42 countries worldwide. We also consult to food companies to help them make better vegan products and improve their distribution. All of that adds up to a very big opportunity to scale these revenue drivers. For now we are still very early stage, and our goal for 2023 is to hit $2 million of revenue. That revenue, alongside our member growth, our product usage and engagement, the value of all of the content, and the adoption of our service across thousands of brands, and all of this happening on a global scale, is validation for our valuation. Plus, it helps to have significant institutional investors investing at this stage at the same terms. We've raised all of our funding through equity and haven't done any debt financing. Thank you for the question Kevin. I am really interested in your company, but struggling to understand the valuation as the revenue numbers are insignificant. As you already have over 200k brands part of your SaaS platform- why is the revenue generated very low? Are you not charging the brands to be a part of the platform? How do you plan to monetize the SaaS platform? Given that you were operational for several years already, any particular reason you haven't focused on monetization? The revenue projection suddenly seem to show extraordinary growth- How do you plan to actually realize this? The revenue drivers slide was a little vague. The financials you see listed here on Wefunder are for 2020 and 2021, when we were a pre-revenue company. Moreover, we completed our filing for the crowdfunding back in October, at which point the revenue drivers for the business were newly launched. History will tell whether we took the right path, but the direction we chose was to first create a product that solved for a lot of pain-points for the community, to give consumers a voice through user-generated content and consumer reviews, and then when the community, product and content base was at a sufficient scale and quality, that we could create further value for the community by welcoming brands into the mix and starting to monetize. This has taken several years, and I'm very proud that today we've grown into quite possibly the world's largest consumer dataset for sustainable choices. This gives us the ability to start using the data to create a lot of impact for people and for our business. As of today we have 217,000 businesses on the platform. 110k F\u0026amp;B businesses, and 107k CPG brands. And almost 5,000 of these businesses have claimed their listings and signed up for \"abillion for brands\", our SaaS product. It is still early days for that product, and we're at the stage where we are speaking and learning from brands, building out and improving the offering, and monetizing a handful of brands that are becoming early adopters for the product. We're getting better and better at this. 99% of the brands are on the free tier of the platform. Over the next 3-4 years I believe we'll get to 5-7% penetration of paying customers for the subscription service. One of the things I'm most excited about are the tools we've built into this product, everything from advertising to affiliate links and soon marketplace integrations, that all can generate revenue as stand-alone products (when our user-base is much bigger), but for now are bundled into a subscription product. This allows us to build, deploy and test and see where our customers are seeing value. For more information on the subscription tiers, please visit brands.abillion.com. The other drivers of revenue include a marketplace that we launched in beta mid-2022 and then globally to our user-base in Q4. Again, very early stage, but we are seeing traction in the last 3-4 months, with sales of approx. $140k. We are not charging much in terms of fees between buyers and sellers right now, instead focusing on designing a high quality experience for buyers and sellers, and turning more of our community into sellers on the platform. The third revenue driver is experiences, which is part of the marketplace experience and an opportunity to tap into underserved demand for travel and experiences that are vegan / sustainability themed. These are not the only ideas around monetization. You're right, the revenue seemingly takes off beginning in 2024 / 2025. We 100% believe this is possible, and if we successfully manage our burn, I believe we can achieve profitability in 2024. With a small team and global user base, the key for us is to build a product and systems that help us attract users and businesses around the world to abillion. It's not easy, it's incredibly hard, and we keep coming back to two core questions that are very much connected, how do we grow our community and how do we grow our revenue? I'm happy to jump on the phone and talk through this in more detail. Just reach out to me through Linkedin or via email vikas@abillion.com. I'm going to rapid fire responses and please message me through the abillion app @vikas or via email vikas@abillion.com if you'd like to dive in further. 1. 430k monthly active 2. Actives have grown 4x in the last 2 years. It's been incredibly volatile, mainly because sometimes we break things by mistake or on purpose on the path to making them better, and because so many things have dependencies across app and web, that it can adversely (and sometimes very positively) impact our active user base. For example in 2022 actives was a roller-coaster but we got our footing again in Q4 and had our best month yet in Jan 2023. 3. It's been really good. Monetization is super early, most of what we've been doing our experiments alongside scaling our community and content. All of our focus the first few years was building the platform for community and content growth, before giving the community the ability to create commerce. A year ago when we turned on the priced subscription tiers for our SaaS product, we barely had any interest. Now brands are reaching out directly, setting up calls, and our conversion rates are increasing. We're now closing brands on to premium subscription tiers every month. And we're seeing transactions coming through on marketplace from around the world every day. It's not a lot but it's exciting, and our goal is to deliver $2 million in revenue this year alongside the value created by the growth of our community and activity. 4. No we do not charge for donations. We donate money instead of spending on marketing. I'm very proud that instead of paying a lot of influencers and spending money on social media ads, we've taken a very different approach to building a company. I hope that one day this becomes a model and case study for how to build businesses. We've proudly donated $2.5 million through gamification and that's led to everything else, most importantly it's led to people around the world living more sustainably every day through their participation in the abillion community. 5. Our expenses were high in the first half of 2022. We made a few bets in 2021, and in 2022 evaluated whether we were getting what we wanted from these bets, and the answer was no. So we cut them. Another growing area of frustration has been technology expenses, and we've worked really hard in 2022 to reduce those expenses. We've begun hiring vendors for projects in India, and the results have been really good. We will further scale this while reducing our costs. In 2022 our average monthly burn was $510k but in Q4 that number was closer to $350k and we plan to keep our monthly burn within $350-400k for the time being. We do need to invest in our people, our community and our technology to grow. But I think the value we are receiving, especially things like the user-generated content the community is creating every day on the platform, may not offset that burn but certainly are a big part of the value of our business. 6. We are raising this community round on Wefunder alongside a venture round to raise a total of $5 million ahead of our Series B. Funding for this company has always been a grind. The truth is that most VCs would invest in the 1,001st plant-based hot dog company but not see the need for a platform :) So my work has always been challenging, and I have had to adapt to that environment since I started the business. And I'm very proud of how far we've come and where we will go. The good news is that while all the institutional investors have been obsessed with upstream and consumer brands that are marketing engines, we've been building the most impactful and valuable business in the entire space. And hopefully we'll show the world that it's also the most enduring. Amazon was not a sexy business respected by the venture industry either. Sorry for my rant here! :) 7. Yes we do support videos! And we are expanding where members can post videos, including into reviews. For now, videos are limited to social posts on the app and web. 8. We've taken a very fresh approach to ads. Think about this, if you saw an ad for a Toyota on Facebook, you'd probably swipe past it, but if you see your friend standing in front of a new Toyota truck they just purchased, you'd probably like / comment on it and Toyota would register in your head. It's this kind of word-of-mouth that is so much more powerful and valuable on social media. Brands love it and desperately need it, that's why we see so much more of marketing budget going towards paid posts by influencers rather than just display ads. So we see this as an opportunity, because 99% of the content on abillion is that organic, authentic word-of-mouth that is posted by ordinary people and loved by brands. So if we do our jobs right, helping brands feature that content is much more valuable to them than having to create ads on abillion. Check out how we're doing this at brands.abillion.com, which is the landing page for our SaaS marketing tool where we have 4,900 subscribers already. For the first $400,000 of investment the pre-money valuation cap is set to $65 million. For amounts higher than that, the pre-money valuation cap will increase to $72.5 million. We expect to fill out the round this week and surpass our targets, so if you'd like to invest it would be more favorable to you to invest ahead of our campaign surpassing $400,000. If you have any further questions or if I can help in any way, please email me at vikas@abillion.com Thank you Ana! Do I need to transfer it from Wefunder to my broker or bank? And if yes: Do I need an account at Wefunder? I prefer just to invest and then finally have the shares in my prefered stock portfolio at my bank. When you invest through Wefunder you will own a share of a Special Purpose Vehicle (\"SPV\") created by Wefunder that invests in abillion's convertible note. When the convertible note is converted into shares during our next equity round (likely our Series B), the Wefunder SPV will receive it's portion of shares based on the dollars invested through the Wefunder SPV. Your share in the Wefunder SPV will be worth your pro-rata portion of the shares of the company that the SPV owns. When abillion goes public, or let's say we're acquired or issue a dividend to our investors, the SPV will receive it's pro-rata share, which Wefunder will then distribute to its underlying shareholders. Wefunder will communicate with you, and you would generally use the brokerage or bank accounts that you have to receive those funds or shares. The great thing about Wefunder is there is no minimum to invest. If you would like to invest directly on our cap table you may with a minimum investment of $50,000. We can set this up for you very easily, please send me an email at vikas@abillion.com and we can go from there. Thank you very much Alex. Our last equity round was our Series A in Q4 2021, where we raised at a pre-money valuation of $40 million and our share price was $2.26. Now we're raising at a pre-money valuation of $65 million (if you invest in time for the early bird investor terms), and the next time a share price will be calculated is when we do our Series B. Let's assume we raise our Series B at a valuation of $200 million. You will receive shares in that round at a price per share based on the $65 million pre-money valuation from this current round. Thanks for the question Mike and for the potential investment. It's a great time to be joining abillion as we scale our movement and grow the business globally. Addressing each of your points: This is an investment round. As a corporation we have never asked anyone to donate money to the company. We raise capital from investors to build the company, and our investors receive shares in the company. If we do our jobs right, the value of those shareholdings increases. Since I started the company we've taken the value of the company from $0 to $65 million in this investment round. You are investing in a convertible note that will convert in the next equity round, when shares will be allocated to the Wefunder pool of investors. Our lead investor, Nick Cator, will control the voting rights for this block of shares. This is in line with best practices that the US Securities \u0026amp; Exchange Commission has created for crowdfunding investment rounds. You will own a share of the company. The company may choose to provide a dividend to investors and your shareholdings will benefit from any appreciation in the share value over time. You're investing in the model abillion has created. Our ethos, our mission, everything we've done, is to create a more sustainable, more fair planet. This includes our business model and the kinds of products found on abillion. We have supported more than 75 impactful non-profits around the world with a very unique growth model. And we've built a company with mission-aligned colleagues. I, as the CEO of the company, do not make decisions unilaterally. I take my responsibility to the abillion community, our members, our customers, our colleagues and our investors, very seriously. We will always be a 100% vegan business focused on building a more sustainable planet for everyone. Thank you for the question and in advance for reading my response. Wishing you all the very best.
