Our Team

The Genesis Experiment, a science fiction thriller motion picture.

Our goal is to produce The Genesis Experiment into a major motion picture with a known celebrity attached to it. You can be a part of this for as little as $250. Again, you do not have to invest thousands of dollars, you can own a part of this for less than you probably paid for cable and internet last month.

The Genesis Experiment

A suspenseful, science-fiction/thriller, seeking investors to produce into a major motion picture.

Who doesn’t love a great motion picture with an awesome story?  Who hasn’t dreamt about being a part of it?  This is that opportunity.

Synopsis

The Genesis Experiment is a story about a young priest who comes into possession of a solid marble statue of Christ Crucified that is mysteriously bleeding from the wounds in the hands, feet, side, and around the crown of thorns on its head.  He enlists the help of his twin brother, a geneticist, to determine if this is a hoax or not.  Testing reveals the blood is indeed human, but also the most unique specimen every known to mankind.

When the priest learns of these remarkable findings, he believes this is a miracle from God and that the blood represents the blood of Christ and demands that his brother destroy the remaining blood samples. The brother agrees to destroy the blood sample, but lies, instead using the sample in an illegal experiment—The Genesis Experiment, where the samples are used to create a clone, the first successful human clone in history.

The question becomes, if the blood seeping from the statue of Christ is indeed the blood of Christ, is the clone Jesus Christ?  And if it is in fact a clone of Christ, does this represent the second coming and the beginning of Armageddon as prophesized in the biblical book of Revelations?

Your Involvement

So, what do you think?  Are you intrigued?  Do you think this is a great story that you’d love to see made into a movie?  If you do, read on.

We assembled a team of industry professionals that can make this into an incredible, major motion picture.  To do this, we will need your support.  The story is written, and we’re ready to begin producing it but to do so, we need the financial support of investors, and that’s where you come in.  Would you like to finance a film made from a story this intriguing and reap the financial rewards that comes with doing so?

Fundraising Goal

We are raising $1.2 million from investors which will allow us to attract talent capable of producing a film worthy of theatrical release.  The film, once produced, will also attract the attention of studios and major streaming services that are looking for great films already completed and willing to pay a premium for the rights.  The story is great and with the right cast and crew, and locations, the film will be incredible.

·       Tier 1 Goal: $600K – great production, but without a major actor attached.

·       Tier 2 Goal: $1.2M – great production with known actors, which will significantly increase profit potential.  NOTE:  Our actual goal is $1,199,999 million for a very practical reason.  The hourly rates for SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Actors jumps significantly if the production budget is $1.2M or higher, that is why our goal is to raise just below $1.2M.  For the purposes of this proposal, we use $1.2M because it’s a round number.

Investor Considerations

·       Your investment will be held by WeFunder and will remain untouched until we fulfill our financial goals.  If funding goals are not met, your investment will be returned to you.

·       As an investor, you will be notified on a regular basis on the status of our fundraising activities and will be notified when we are ready to move forward with the production.

·       An agreement will be executed between our production company and you (the investor) stipulating the conditions that must be met for the release of funds.

Return on Investment

…And here’s the best part:  the investors get half of every dollar we get paid.

·       If we get paid $5 million, the investors get paid $2.5 million.

·       If we get paid $20 million, the investors get paid $10 million.

The amount you receive is based on your investment and the total amount of funds we raise. Let’s take some examples:

·       If we raise $1.2 million, and you invest $150k, and we get paid $20 million, the investors receive $10 million. Since you invested 12.5% of the $1.2 million to make the film, you’ll receive 12.5% of the $10 million investors cut or $1.25 million for your $150k investment.

·       If we raise $1.2 million, and you invest $600k, and we get paid $20 million, the investors receive $10 million. Since you invested 50% of the $1.2 million to make the film, you’ll receive 50% of the $10 million investors cut or $5 million dollars for your $600k investment.

·       For as little as a $250 investment, you will more than double your money ($521) at even the lowest earning tier of $5 million.  At the $20 million tier, you would get paid $2,083.

Simply put, whatever percentage of the total funds raised you invest, is the percentage you’ll be paid of what we get paid.  Remember, your money is held until we raise what we need to move forward.

The below figures are based on a $600,000 budget.

Tax Credits

In the film industry there are incentives offered to have films made in certain locations.  You’ve probably noticed at the end of a film in the credits a statement that says something along the lines of Filmed on location in Albuquerque, New Mexico (or wherever it was filmed).

Those locations offer cash back as an incentive for filmmakers like us to film in their cities.  The reason for this is because it promotes tourism to their city or state, and it’s been proven that the locations a film is produced see an increase in tourism.

Within several months of the completion of the film, we automatically will get paid a percentage of the production costs in the form of a Tax Rebate/Credit. The amount received will be split amongst the film investors and producers, providing some guaranteed return on investment before the film is sold.  That rebate will be 25% of the cost of production provided certain criteria are met. Our director is an expert in navigating the complicated world of Tax Rebates/Credits.

Early Investor Incentive

When raising money to make a film, the biggest hurdle is locking the first, major, investor.  We are willing to accept investors beginning at $12k, but the first investor willing to put up $300k or more will receive an added incentive—a larger share of the tax credit cash we will receive after film production.

In the case of a film that costs $1.2 million to make and a tax credit rate of 25%, several months after the film is completed, we will receive a check for $300k.  The rebate amount may vary depending on the programs available in the location the film is shot.

As an early incentive, we will pay the first major investor an extra 10% of the tax credit check before it is divided amongst the investor pool.  If the check is for $300K, and you are the first to invest 25% or more of the $1.2 million we seek, $150K will go to investors based on the percentage invested.  In this example, if you were the first person to invest at least $300k (25% of the total budget), of the $150k investor’s share we receive in a tax credit, you will receive $52,500 (your 25% share plus an additional 10% for being the first investor of $300k or more.  You would receive 35% of the tax credit BEFORE THE FILM IS EVEN SOLD.

Film Production

Producing the film will take 12-18 months.  The completed film will be placed on the market, and will either be bought outright at a profit, or we will begin distribution which would start with a theatrical release, followed by release on a major streaming platform.
