Memo

The room never needs to know

Every night, the world’s best restaurants, cruise lines and live venues lose money on capacity they can’t sell: a quiet table on a Tuesday, a cabin that sails empty, a seat that stays dark after the curtain rises. Once the moment passes, that inventory is worth $0.

Across fine dining (~$190B), cruising (~$78B) and live-event ticketing (~$88B), that adds up to a $350B+ market where every unsold unit is lost revenue.

The real reason it goes unsold

It isn’t economics. It’s exposure. To sell spare capacity today, a premium venue has to publish a lower price where its regular guests can see it. Every voucher and deal platform asks for that trade, and the best venues refuse it. They would rather lose the cover than cheapen the brand.

Hushpay removes the trade

Members reserve a private window, arrive, and tap their phone like any other card. The terminal processes an ordinary transaction, and the member’s rate settles privately in the background. Nothing is announced, no code is shown, and nobody at the table has to explain anything.

For the venue: new revenue from capacity that would otherwise earn nothing, at a price it sets, with zero public discounting.

For the member: typically 30–50% off at top restaurants and up to 60% on unsold cruise cabins.

That’s the whole idea, and it’s why venues sign.

The numbers for a member

Illustrative scenarios at Hushpay’s typical 30–50% member pricing at partner restaurants. 64% of US households earning $200K+ already dine out weekly or more (TouchBistro, 2025).

Why now

  1. Wealth is at a record. There are 25.3 million high-net-worth individuals worldwide, nearly 2 million more than a year earlier, holding $98.3 trillion, up 8.7% (Capgemini World Wealth Report 2026).
  2. Our first market is growing fastest. The US added 736,000 millionaires last year, the most of any country, and its HNW population rose 9.2% to 8.7 million.
  3. The payment rails are finally ready. Apple Pay and Google Pay are standard at premium venues, and single-use virtual cards can now be issued instantly by API. That’s the plumbing Hushpay needs to settle discreetly.

The demand exists and the supply exists. What was missing was a way to connect them without damaging the brand.

What we’ve built

  1. A working product, not a concept. The Hushpay app is built and in testing on iOS and Android with few venues.
  2. Distribution from day one. We have a $3M contracted media commitment with Media On Board to promote Hushpay across MBC channels for 12 months, and Stars On Board will promote the app at its events through 2026 and 2027.
  3. Supply in motion. +800 venues and restaurants are in our acquisition pipeline.

How we make money

Two simple revenue lines:

  1. A 9% take rate on every settled booking, across restaurants, cruises and events. Bigger tickets mean a bigger take: a single $1,500 cruise cabin earns $135.
  2. Monthly membership: Hush Blue (free), Phantom ($0.99/month), and Obsidian, by invitation only ($1.99/month).

We hold no inventory, carry no inventory risk, and our gross margin runs near 84%.
